MyMockPrep helps users practice interviews out loud, optimize resumes, and prepare for job applications using AI. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, and authentication provider (email/password or Google).
• Profile and job prep content: Resumes, job descriptions, interview answers, STAR stories, salary negotiation inputs, and prep notes you provide.
• Usage data: Interviews started, features used, credits consumed, subscription status, and referral activity.
• Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. Stripe may share transaction confirmations and subscription status with us.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, cookies, and analytics events.
• Advertising data: If we use tools like Meta Pixel, we may collect data for ad measurement, conversion tracking, and retargeting. This data helps us understand how people find MyMockPrep.

How We Use Information

• Provide AI-powered interview practice, feedback, and coaching.
• Generate resume optimizations and prep guides.
• Manage subscriptions, credits, referrals, and support requests.
• Improve product quality, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
• Measure advertising effectiveness and understand how users find us.

AI Processing

Content you provide (resumes, job descriptions, interview answers) may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses, feedback, and recommendations. AI output may be imperfect and should be reviewed by you before use. Do not upload highly sensitive personal information (government IDs, financial account numbers, medical records) into the platform.

Sharing

• Service providers: We use third-party services for hosting, database, authentication, payments (Stripe), AI processing, email delivery, and analytics/advertising tools.
• Legal or safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• We do not sell your personal data.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies for authentication, session management, referral tracking (e.g. the mymockprep_ref cookie), analytics, and ad measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.

Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active or as needed for operations, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Children

MyMockPrep is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
